I'm still trying to edit my autobiography

I wrote my autobiography and I’m going through revision after revision after revision. The publishers keep finding things wrong with it. Not spelling, grammar, word, sentence structure or anything like that but things like name changes. I am publishing under a fictitious pen name and so all the names of characters, businesses, labels, trade names, places, locations, organizations etc…etc… have to be changed. And my original manuscript told the truth about everything. So, a lot had to be changed. Things have to be changed because of possible litigation.

I applaud those who publish their books.

Do you mean you told the truth about everything except the names of characters, businesses, trade names and locations…?

I thought you meant and that in your original manuscript you wrote the real names and now that it’s being published you need to change every name in the book… correct?

I never wrote an outline. I just started writing. A chapter a day until it was done. Took me 12 days to finish the first draft. My book has 12 chapters.

my sister suggested i write a memoir. Don’t know if i’m that brave some of my delusions are embarrasing plus i’m not 100 percent clear headed anymore maybe it’s cognitive issues. there are little delusions that might not be delusion. like i said in the other thread maybe i’l write some encouraging poems for my grown kids, something sentimental for when i’m gone.
