I'm starting to get even more paranoid

So here it goes. My aunt and uncle (dads brother) told us about healing through this lady. He said we can do some sessions for a couple of £££ and what would otherwise cost thousands will be much less as he knows the lady who heals. Then he told us to contact some guy who claims to be a past life healer. I went for it. I was ill and would otherwise not believe. So a couple of money for that. I paid my uncle. The healer said to my dad to try this herbal medicine costing around £400 and then some sort of canabis is oil. From then on I’ve become paranoid about my aunt and uncle. That they are also getting money from this.

That is shady and awful. I’m sorry you got scammed by your family. Some people…

Have I though? Or paranoia?

All I can say is not to rely on such herbal medication on its own. I mean if the medical doctors have prescribed meds your dad shouldn’t stop taking these in favour of the herbal stuff.

In fact you should maybe discuss this complimentary medication with a trained doctor first. Some herbs interact with pharmaceuticals.

All of those alternative healers are full of garbage. Anyone claiming to be a “past life healer” is either deluded or trying to scam you. Maybe your aunt and uncle just got caught up in the hype though.

I don’t know if it’s paranoia or if your uncle and aunt are really in on it, but it’s a scam nonetheless and you know it. Tell it to them, and get out of that situation.

A year ago a reiki master told me to get my aura clean by a specialist and I told her to bugger off.

Run away from this @anon80629714

And how come we’re always a Prince or person of high stature in a ‘past life’. Funny how we’re never told we were the guy who took out the poop!

True. Once I was told I was an explorer in the past life. Maybe I discovered the Americas!

If that was you, you have a lot to apologize for :joy:

So you gave the money to your uncle, instead of to the person claiming to have the healing powers? If your uncle insisted that you give the money to him directly instead of to the “healer” then IMO that would be valid reason to suspect your uncle is in on it.

It’s one thing for a hyped friend/relative to try to get you into some BS, but if it involves giving them the money, then yeah that’s some shady ■■■■.
