I'm now aware of Look-alike and Sound-alike meds

FYI, I read about look-alike and sound-alike (LASA) meds on notice board when visiting hospital for injection.

The following might be of interest to you, or not at all.

The hospital develops a list of look-alike/sound-alike medications it stores, dispenses, or administers.

Personally, I am confused with Chlorazepam and Clonazepam, both are psychiatric medications.

Straight benzo(anti_anxiety)!!!

Is there anything such as Chlorazepam…!!
I google but it was messing with clonazepam…!!!

I think it is just a synonym.

Trilafon and Trileptal

Do they look-alike or sound-alike?

Clozapine and clonidine

They just seem similar to me. Trilafon is a typical AP while Trileptal is an anticonvulsant/mood stabilizer. I guess its just the 1st 4 letters are the same followed by a vowel, that they sound like similar drug names.
