I'm not comfortable with this " therapist "

I didn’t feel comfortable and I’m not quite sure why i feel uncomfortable whether it’s because of him or the stuff brought up.

Can you request someone else? Being uncomfortable is a reason good enough

I think I’d be more comfortable talking to a female therapist but reason sounds stupid

That is acceptable you know, I remember asking for a male therapist once and they granted it without asking any questions

Not stupid at all. Lots of people have valid reasons for not wanting to see a male or female therapist. Feeling uncomfortable is the main reason people switch. I think you should ask to be referred to another therapist.

Many people have a gender preference when it comes to therapists. It’s not stupid.

Ok maybe I’m not entirely honest I don’t care what gender he is I just feel judged and that’s what’s making me not want to go.

I had an NHS psychologist and it was an awful experience

The wait was over two years

I’m just gonna say I feel judged and see where that goes. I waited this long might as well give in a few more goes before I call it quits.

Yea I think finding a therapist is like finding a friend in a way. Sometimes you will click and sometimes not. Gotta find one that’s a good fit for you.
