bologna and salami and cheese toasted sandwich with Miracle Whip…it’s a meal but I didn’t enjoy it.

I had lasagna and lots of sweets, haha. I’ll have some chicken when I get home, if I can be bothered to cook it.

I had some macaroni salad… it wasn’t bad

I had spaghetti.

I had a pastrami sandwich with mayo, pickle, pastrami, and lettuce.

Best thing to do when dieting is eat a lot of fruit and veggies. Sounds like it will suck but getting proper micronutrients really helps with cravings as you are giving your body the nutrients it needs. This prevents binging. Also fitting in some junk food doesn’t hurt just be careful with how much.

I think the ‘bachelor dinner of the year’ award goes to me. :trophy:

I am going to drive to the next town over and go to Applebee’s. I usually get the pasta with chicken but I might try something different this time.

I messed up my calorie count by having a Monster. :persevere:

It’s ok one monster won’t ruin your diet!! You’ll be ok try not to be hard on yourself!

When I was feeling hangry back when I was dieting, I would make a pound of vegetables. I kept dozens of packs of single size frozen veggies at all times, and I could just pop one in the microwave, and eat them with a bit of salt. Vegetables are very filling, low calorie, and nutritious.

I also had to watch myself to make sure I was eating enough food in the morning. My natural instinct was to cut calories at breakfast, but that made me lethargic and snippy all day long until my big meal at dinner. Mr. Star eventually told me I had to eat a full breakfast before I talked to him every day, because he got sick of being yelled at.

I found hat the full breakfast actually made me exercise more during the day, and then I could eat more calories overall. Because you should always make sure to add in your exercise calories if you don’t want to become malnourished.

I make my own refried beans with lots of salsa and hot pepper. Low calorie, spicy, and filling. Keep a bowl of that in the fridge so I can pound some if I’m starving. Better than eating a Twinkie.

I can’t do much exercise because I have some physical issues going on as well, but I can walk for about 15 minutes before I can’t do any more. Maybe that will burn a few calories for me. Man, I’m lucky my dogs are old and don’t want to bother with walks or I’d be in trouble! They go outside to go potty then head straight back to the house so they can get back on their cozy beds. Sorry, I digress!

I started out with 15 minute walks. I kept doing it three times a week, then slowly increased. Now, I can walk for about an hour and a half.

I don’t know what your physical issues are, but if that 15 minute walk doesn’t hurt you, it is a good place to start.

@Ninjastar I have spinal issues and nerve pain in my left leg and a whole in the cartilage in my left knee (waiting for an allograft surgery) that is painful and has grown arthritic. I could bring Mojo along for the walks so I feel safer. She is my service dog. I used to bring her out with me everywhere I went publicly, but after a traumatic event, she now barks when she sees other dogs, so I can’t take her out to stores just in case another service dog is there. Now she just stays home and helps me out when I see or hear things in the house. I have never been as attached to an animal as I am to her, and I have had a lot of pets. She can be my walking buddy. She has to work up to long walks, too; I know she is as out of shape as I am. She’s gotten a little pudgy. She looks kind of like a really furry sausage.

I’m sorry. That sounds very painful. Maybe check with your doctor before starting a new exercise routine. I would imagine he would support a fifteen minute walk, but I’m not an expert.
