I'm going to save up for a bass guitar

I want to end up in a rock/metal band in the future and I figure I like bass, and it seems easy to learn.

My piano teacher as a kid gave me a swelled ego about my musical talent, lol. I think I can create some sick basslines though.

Does this not look fun?

What kind of bass guitar do you want?

Electric bass, I’m sure which one - just started looking around on Guitarcenter.com.

Do you play?

I just realized one thing to do is try to find a used bass somewhere (pawn shop? thrift store? Craig’s list if that’s not too frightening?), get the basics down and see if you like it, then save up to buy whatever guitar you have your heart set on, which you will be able to play the moment you finally get it.

One of my siblings plays bass. I tried to learn guitar a long time ago and it never started to come naturally to me. Also tried drums. I’m glad I tried.

Bass looks fun.

I played guitar when I was younger, but my hands were not strong enough for bass. All I know is once you learn some power chords, you can soothe yourself for hours just making stuff up.

Bass is a ton of fun to play. I recommend learing some metallica songs. Lot of fun to play on bass.

Good idea. I used to sell on Craigslist a lot, I could look for one there.

I’d love to be able to afford an electric drum kit I could play in my apartment, I’m not enthused about playing live gigs anymore due to the anxiety (not that I haven’t had a blast doing that) just know a few guitarists who’d more than willingly stop by if I had a kit to play.
