Im day 6 in the psych unit

Not all of them are available in every country, but I doubt you’ve tried ALL of them as your pdoc says.

Tell your pdoc that just because a “stronger” antipsychotic didn’t work doesn’t mean a “weaker” one wont. There are “trends” but you can’t predict these things. All these meds effect everyone differently.

I went from 40mg of Olanzapine(Zyprexa) which is a very high dose of a powerful antipsychotic to 60mg of Lurasidone(Latuda) which is a much lower dose, relatively speaking, of a weaker antipsychotic, and I am doing waaaay better.

Don’t give up, just keep trying them until, hopefully, you find something that works. As you try them give them time to work. Could be as quickly as a few days, could be a few months.
