My budget is 8k. Would you think I should get an older car with lower mileage or a newer car with more mileage? There’s no wrong answer. My dad says I should buy a newer car with higher mileage vs the older car.
Electric car is the best
But bit expensive
I agree with your dad.
Off topic: How are you sleeping recently? I remember you saying you were having some issues.
Awe thanks for remembering @TheCanuk my sleep has mostly recovered!
I have no where to charge an electric car plus I want something to drive across the country
Glad to hear that
Yes thank you! Now I’m focusing on my goals
True cross country electric won’t work but hey there are trip planners that will connect you to charging stations on the go.
Anyways try going to the showroom and get more details for
You know I have an electric scooter where we could plan travel’s.
You know Marc travels youtuber is like all over the world with electric two wheeler!
I appreciate the thought but I’ll be moving across the country soon and need to be able to bring my belongings and my dog with me so I need an actual car. My parents drive their Tesla 1200 miles twice a year and they have to charge so often it lengthens their travel time significantly. Electric car just isn’t for me
You’re leaving Arizona?!?! Why?
Not quite yet but I plan on moving in January of next year. I’m thinking South Carolina or Maryland maybe
i have a 2004 honda cr - v. they are great cars…it has about 170 k miles on it. runs great though.
My first car was a 1999 Honda CRV. I loved that car
IDK, I would have to see the specifics. What do you consider to be an older car? What do you consider to be a newer car? How about a compromise and get a semi - new car with 50 or 60 thousand miles on it? Or a semi - old car with 40 or 50 thousand miles on it? I got a 2012 car with 131,000 miles on it. I think that’s considered an older car but that’s pretty low milage for a 2012.
What type of car do you have @77nick77 and how much did you pay for it? Just wondering
I have a Volkswagen Jetta. I paid $8000 dollars for it in 2015.
$8000 is my budget right now too just because I could actually afford the payments on it
I got it fairly new and haven’t put too much money into it and it still runs good.
i think 8k will probably only get you an older car with high milage. cars have gotten expensive. but if i had to chose between old with low mileage and newer with high mileage - thats tough actually. if high mileage is mostly highway thats less wear on the transmission than low mileage city. but if its high mileage city (stop and go driving) thats not good. and depending on how old stuff can just wear out like seals and hoses. theyre probably the same risk.
That’s awesome. I think I’m going to stick to Honda or Toyota as I’ve owned both of those before and had amazing luck with each of them.
