I take lithium, haloperidol and quetiapine. So I have a question to ask. If you rock back and forth repeatedly or move repeatedly in other ways, does that dilute the medicine so it doesn’t work?
I highly doubt it.
My wife is on Lithium, and her Doctor tells her to exercise and go for walks.
No, I don’t think so.
Never heard of such thing.
The answer is no.
The only thing I’ve heard of that can dilute meds, is booze. And I’m not even sure about that either.
I don’t think rocking back and forth would dilute the medicine. Everybody’s body is different. Some people will metabolize the medication faster than others. I think being fit and physically active can help you metabolize the drug faster, no doubt.
In a word, no. 151515
Your blood flow will keep moving/flowing no matter what you do (Your heart is always pumping) and the medicine concentration is always the same in your body not matter what you do. Only another chemical blocking or increasing your meds effect can change its concentration.
Only physical thing that may change your meds effects is concussion because it can kill dopamine receptors and neurons.
doesnt wqork that way, the drug is not a calorie if you will so dont think of in terms of metabolism. Think of it in terms of a candle. each drug has a half life, and thats how its potenticy is defined. Its efficacy is due largly in part to the liver’s ability to metabolize it and the use of it in the neurochemistry of the brain
