I’d use 10 million to retire with, 10 million for gifts/philanthropy, and the rest for schizophrenia research.
I want to test holistic treatments like good diet and ionic water on people, with double-blind studies.

Buy large amounts of land… rent out a bunch of houses for cheap. provide solar energy for mine and their houses… charge them nothing for the electricity… maybe they can actually save some money up… cant help everyone but maybe it will kick off a trend of some kind…

I would give 10% of it away to charity right off the bat. The rest I would put in investments and savings. I would probably buy more rental property.

aside from giving to research and charity which is obvious i would like to buy out everyone in my neighborhood, destroy the houses and have one ginormous yard

First I would want to pay back to those whom I owed some gratitude in the past. Thus, I would probably:
- Give a bunch of money to my parents.
- Make a list of people who have done me favors in the past, and try to return those favors at cash value.
The rest of 1 billion dollars would only go so far in the world. So, if I had, say, 900 million left, I would probably spend a few million on mentors, consultants, and tutors to help me gather wisdom on how to best use the rest.
I would probably set a time limit on this thinking phase, and then go from there. Maybe I could end up learning how to use the money to generate even more business, and use the profits philanthropically, a little like Bill Gates.
But, in all of this, I would try to make a very small political footprint, if any. I’m under no delusion that money and political power are the same thing. I would try to not interfere.

I would offer the entire amount as a prize to anyone who can find a cost effective way to desalinate sea water. By “cost effective” I mean competitive with the watershed in temperate climates. Then I would get drunk.

Not much different. Buy a house. Retire. Invest my money in a project of mine. Rogueones Site of Tasteful Nudes. Basically black and white and colored nude pictures of myself in various poses where I’m hiding my junk. The money I make off of that will pay for the photographer on staff.

Build a private school with real teachers( who care and have big salary’s) for the defavoriised children when they will learn more about life and not stupid math and fizic, it will be free and kids will get money from the school. Them build a hospital, last generation free of charge for the people, build roads in my city, infrastructure. Invest in young antreprenors.
