I struggle to see the big picture a lot.
My mom used to say when I was a kid that I didn’t see the forrest for the trees.
I get stuck on the details.
She also used to say don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater.
I make hasty decisions I later regret.
I didn’t understand either of those idioms at the time, but at 42 I look back and realize she’s right of course.
It took me a long time to understand these things about myself.
Can anyone relate? Is there something it took you a while to realize about yourself?
