Crimby posted that they should make bullet proof doors. Well I just saw the news, and they said a company is making bullet proof doors. They said they will make 10,000 doors at a time to whoever wants to pay for it.

Interesting, but I like to think of every decision as coming from people’s minds. Like the decision to build however many doors, that is the product of human deliberation. So was the shooter’s decision to do what he did. I think we need to think more about smart, cheap solutions for changing people’s minds and less about expensive solutions which may not work or be permanent, like building these special doors. In other words, you should train people not to jump off a cliff rather than attempting to make the cliff unjumpoffable. This will take scientific innovation, better medications and better psychotherapy.
