I wrote two books over four years ago

Two that I liked at least. But neither will pale in comparison to my next books I plan on writing. I am a binge writer. But after going to the psych hospital and getting on the right meds I feel maybe I’ll be inspired to binge out another novel. I think it would be interesting. Haven’t narrowed down my topics yet. There are many topics Id like to speak on. I’m not looking to write a memoir or a fiction story. But rather a general prose of philosophy, spirituality, stories and knowledge/information based upon experience. Maybe I should start small. Write a shorty story. But the last times I Aimed for the stars I got 40-50k words in just a weeks time. And that was when I was at one of my worst mental states. Now I’m probably at one of my better ones albeit constantly changing still. Now I can roll with it best though.

Anyone else writing/written a lot :writing_hand:???

I used to write freelance. I’ve ghostwritten a few books and have one novel under my own name.

I’m curious, since I’ve been asked to ghostwrite before. What exactly does ghostwriting entail? Does someone elses name get put on your work, or is there just not an author name at all?

It depends on the contract. Mine was the the client took full credit.

Ah, okay.
I turned down the latest offer because the guy wanted me to ghostwrite his bachelor - I don’t mind others getting credit for my work, but I don’t want to help people cheat their uni degrees

Typically it’s more like you write for their name or their topic, possibly too

Aka they have a topic and idea for themselves to write about but not so much the capability to write it. You write it for them. They end up with the credit typically if done right.

In hip hop a ghostwriter is completely behind the scenes writing the rhymes, he/she gets paid for the lyrics that are supposed to be from the vocalists POV and then they use that lyrics to make a song.

The ghost term I think is a matter of perspective

Not necessarily does the anonymity come first although still important. It’s most about perspective/the topic idea I believe

Not a lot @Jonnybegood . I’ve just written a few snippets here and there. I dream about writing a book someday but it’s just dreaming not doing. Time is running out.
