I wrote to my Member of Parliament in the UK to get him to stop excessive covid restrictions

I don’t want gyms to close.

My gym has sanitiser everywhere, the staff wear masks and stand behind screens, they disinfect everything between sessions a limited number of people have to book and they check your temperature every time you go there.

Why should people and business who follow the rules get punished by broad measures?

Those measures are needed because of the selfish twats who think that exercising their right to carry as though nothing serious is going on trumps the safety of others.

All is really relaxed here. I dont feel there are excessive measures. I dont know any people in risk groups, so im not really worried. But i would actually like a bit more information on what is and isnt a good way to deal with it.

The only things i notice now is the 1.5m distance (which i try to keep, but many dont), masks in trains, screens in some places and hand disinfection in entrances of shops etc. I dont mind those.

I agree with you OP! But I just go with the flow. Once taxes start dwindling down, history will judge them.

Better than being ever so slightly dead.
