I haven’t had a psychotic break in over 2 and a half years.
I get an injection of Abilify every 3 weeks. I’m going to ask my psychiatrist if we can extend this to every month or 6 weeks…see if he will agree to this.
I’m right as rain these days.

I’m glad you are well and happy.
May you continue to be well and thrive with your family.
Be careful.
Recently I just switched generic brand of Abilify and I went off the rails. I’m off that brand now and back to normal.
It’s a risk , so have a plan with your doctors on reverting to what you have now if it doesn’t work out.
At that point my doc also agreed to reduce meds and see how it went …
I wish risperidone had a monthly injection, but it’s every 2 weeks for me.
Great news your stable on abilify. Abilify is a life saver for me too, but I take a tiny bit every 4-5 months to help with risperidone side effects.
Abilify was developed by Japanese researchers, just like PlayStation, Japan creates some epic stuff
Yeah Abilify is Japanese.
Otsuka spelled backwards is “akusto” which reminds me of “acoustic” = having to do with sounds. It targets my voices with 100% success rate.
That’s excellent @Andrey
I agree with everhopeful, be careful. I had a psychotic episode in 1996. After that, I thought it might all be over. Never went off meds. Then, in 2001, I had another bad one. That was the first one I never became an inpatient for. Still stayed on the meds. Had another one in 2008 and was admitted to a hospital psych unit (again). Have had a couple more in the last 7 years, but not in the last 2 years. Still taking AP meds and an anti-depressant.
Every time I think I am over SZ it winds up all over me instead.
Pride goeth before the fall, etc.
I recently had my Risperdal dose lowered to 3mg and although I’m doing ok overall I am a bit more irritable but not violent
