I wish instead of the space program they would feed the poor

We’ve pretty much seen all there is to be seen in space…what about america’s problems of feeding hungry children? take that money and spend it on the poor…

Space program is necessary for national security.

Funding space programs tends to have good unexpected outcomes.

I agree!

Everyone should have shelter or home or so and food and water and health care.

It’s disgusting to let people suffer and not give proper help and care.

Even those on death row get a bed and health care and food and water and shower and so.

Bill gates is one billionaire who has donated a fortune to help people and good on him n well done and he is investing in vegan food etc too.

We should take care of each other and the animals and world.:slightly_smiling_face::pray:t4::two_hearts:
So be it.
Sweet tlc!

Maybe keep the space program and cut corporate welfare for billionaires like Musk first.

Imo the space race is driven largely by war. The super powers know if another country was able to develop space weapons they’d be cooked.

Sounds silly and overly futuristic but what are they gonna do if someone drops a nuke from a spacecraft or something. Also the race to colonize mars… I think is a resource grab. I mean why do we want to colonize it so bad? So elitists can own it? Meanwhile people are dying in masses here of starvation. Makes no sense.

According to the UN website:

“Each day, 25,000 people, including more than 10,000 children, die from hunger and related causes”

And from another source:

A child dies from hunger every 10 seconds.

Tax the billionaires up the gazoo!

I don’t know how big a part this plays in space exploration but I think part of the goal is to find a place somewhere that we can populate. At least I’ve heard this mentioned. The earth will reach it’s capacity in a 100 or 200 years and the way the population is expanding their will be too many people for the natural resources of the earth to sustain so we need to find a place for the excess population to live. I think the goal of space exploration has always been to find another planet we can colonize.
