You can!!! Do what I do!! Exercise regularly. Never buy nor eat: cookies, candy, cakes, pies, pastries, sweets, chips, crackers, and salty snacks. Only very rarely drink: pop or alcohol. As a treat, eat: peanut butter, or mixed nuts and raisins combination (in moderation).

Totally feel this. The worst part for me was that when I put on a couple of stone I had such low self esteem and felt hideous. People would make mean comments (especially insensitive older men) but looking back in photos I don’t look that bad at all. Even more recently when I was quite a few stone bigger still - I looked a lot worse in my head than the reality.

I’m at a point now where I am losing weight from low carb and intermittent fasting. Hoping to get to a place I am happy with eventually.

Also IMO f*ck exercising. Its good for your spirits and blood pressure etc but it really won’t magically reduce your weight. Its much more effective to focus on controlling your diet instead.

Olanzapine is terrible for weight loss.

Yes i get the older men commenting. I had it when i was on holiday making rude comments about me and my mum. Or im invisible. Tbh i dont mind that though because at least no one bothers me

first of all choosing the right antipsychotic that have the lowest weight gain probability like lurasidone. second going on healthy diet.finally taking weight loss drugs like metformin and also drinking green coffee beverage.of course you shouldn’t do this on your own, you have to consult your psychiatry doctor first

I lile olanzapine the most though because the ones like abilify i still gained weight and it was terrible i prefer olanzapine

Yea I heard that too.

I do it. My weight is within normal. I achieve it through moderate food intake, abstaining from all candy and sweets, extremely limited alcohol intake, calorie counting and restriction, and regular exercise.

@FreeLunch wow 40K is amazing, my max so far is 23K.

@doesthislookUNSUREtoyou Hypothyrodism causes weight gain, are you getting treatment for it by your Dr?

40k is easy. It’s just a question of putting one foot in front of the other. 60k is hard

60k is competitive

I should say that walking is such a beautiful thing, regardless of how many steps you take. I recommend that everyone walk no matter how much it is. Regardless of whether it’s 5k 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k, etc. Doesn’t matter

You can try Wegovy or Mounjaro to lose weight, along with diet and exercise it is very effective.

I just got a stepping platform in the mail. It’s in preparation for the winter. Won’t be able to do my walking then. The icy sidewalks get treacherous.
