In my 26 years of working, I think I’ve gotten praised once or twice. Once at my first job as a movie theater usher. Manager called me in and said I handled the crowd well. Today, I was praised by a manager through slack (slack is a work productivity app). Words used were reliable, diligent, and patient. It felt good to be recognized.
It’s always nice to get some recognition. Management seems to never hand out enough of it, while eternally being able to bestow criticism upon its workers. Good to hear!
