please don’t draw conclusions based on an unanswered text message.
Perhaps the relative didn’t notice it at all.Or forgot or something like that.
If he were rude to you during a direct conversation- that’s a different story.

Sometimes i do not answer people for hours. I answer only when I feel Okay with a clear mind.
Other times, I am busy doing something so prefer to talk at another time, when I am free and can focus on answering/explaining to have a pleasant conversation
