I don’t know what this means. Do they want you to go inpatient? IOP? More specialized care?

If they think it’s the best course of action for you, I think you should do it.
It’s a controlled environment, optimal for resting and de-stressing while getting meds adjusted and symptoms decreased.

I know some people have bad things to say about hospitals, but there are just as many good stories.
And yours will be too, especially if you comply.

I’ve never been hospitalized against my will, but when I’ve been in the hospital voluntarily, those against their will were the most unhappy and slowliest recovering ones.

Do you disagree? If your doctor feels it’s best for you to be inpatient, you probably should be.

Well, i think your doctor probably suggested it for a reason. If you disagree maybe you can call and ask why.

Like I said, it’s a nice opportunity to get your symptoms under control while in a safe environment.

I’m scared of being locked and controlled for a long time (15-30 days at least)

How do you think they’ll control you?

I don’t know much about hospitals in other countries, but when I was hospitalised here in Denmark, I was allowed to leave the premises for short amounts of time (a few hours each day), as long as I took my meds and didn’t harm myself.
They didn’t control me at all, except suggesting I ate during meal-time. There are laws against using force as long as the patients are harmless and compliant.

But like, how? Mind-control? Telling you “you can’t do this and that?” Forcing you to do things you don’t want to?
