Because I’m a woman. This was inadvertently instilled in me by my mother. You have to realize that, when she was a girl, women were not even allowed to vote. They could be nurses or teachers and that was it. My low self-esteem is in my blood.

I’m 33 and I still have low self esteem too.
It sucks.
I don’t know why I can’t pin point the reason but upbringing may have certainly played a role.
Though I must add I know my parents really tried their best.
My mum made huge sacrifices
Giving birth to all 5 of us
I see how much depression she is in these days
But yea, it certainly did probably contribute to my low self esteem, the upbringing
