I want to talk

I am stressed. I want to give up on an interview and I want to try it at the same time. I don’t think I can perform well in that capacity. But I have spent a lot of years working in that field. It would be a great lost if I don’t work in that area again.

I’m sorry you are having such a hard time. I would say don’t give up on yourself. Hopefully, these feelings will pass. If you have worked in this field for years, there’s a good chance you can do the job. You are in my prayers.

I know the feeling–except I actually did give up. The interviewer was for a job overseas, so it was done via skype. I showed up on time, the interviewer showed up 30 minutes late, but by that time I had logged off. He emailed me a few times, but I didn’t reply. I was just like, what the point? I won’t get it anyways and it’s a waste of my time.

I could use the extra income now and I regret missing out on the interview. This could be a transient feeling so don’t let it drag you down too much. It seems like you really like your field. If I were you, I’d pump myself up, maybe take extra sarcosine, and go for it. Good luck!

Just go. Turn off your thoughts, squeeze your teeth and go. Believe me it won’t be even closely scary as you imagine.
Consider it as a preparation for some next interviews. ■■■■ them the commission. Just go.

Well you can go to the interview, with the thought you may or may not want the job, may make it easier on your stress level

I’ll bet you’ll find the actual experience of the interview not nearly as bad as imagined and you will find it a relief. This is how I feel about some required events. I get all stressed out and then it’s not that bad.
