I wish there was something like AA for negative symptoms. Come over, help me clean my room, etc. You help someone else with daily tasks, etc. That sorta thing.
Well there is no official joining of AA. Open meetings (here in the USA) anyone 18+ can attend the meeting. Closed meetings are for only those that have a desire to stop drinking. All you really have to do is show up for the meeting. Here in Little Rock Arkansas USA they started having in-person meetings again, face masks required, socially distanced. I believe they have online meetings with Zoom, and I once did a voice meeting with the phone.
@anon54988740 off record, I’m sure I’ve heard of Little Rock Arkansas in a film, is this a saying lol?. I’m from England
We use “movie” instead of film. I don’t believe it’s a saying though.
President Bill Clinton was originally from Arkansas.
In the 50’s, Little Rock, Arkansas was in the news a lot due to racial riots.
You can do it @bobbilly.
I used to drink a lot too. Now I rarely drink and when I do I keep it to a minimum.
You might try AA. If you go to a group, and you don’t relate, try a different group. There are usually about a half a dozen AA groups in any town. Different groups have different personalities. Their sole objective is to help people who want to stop drinking to stop drinking. They have no opinion about outside issues.
