I want to go hike the Cotswold’s national trail in the summer but I don’t know if I’m well enough. It takes about a week to walk and there is a lot of on the spot planning involved. I am kind of torn between doing the things I want to do and accepting limitations due to my illness. Would you do something like this? I think depending on how well I am, I might just walk around the Isles of Scilly, which I could go from my house and come back with it done within two days.
I think it’s a balancing act between the limitations that sz puts on us and the things we want to do. Obviously, we can’t do everything we would like to do but that’s not to say we can’t do some things. You just have to realistically evaluate the situation and do what you feel like you can handle. Be careful not to overdo it. If you do fine with the lesser walk then maybe next time shoot for something a little longer. That’s what i think.
