Some hot head just almost slammed into my front end whipping around the corner at a gas pump so I honked at him. He got out of his truck and aggressively walked around me and stayed parked so I couldn’t get gas. I was really freaked out by this, I thought he was going to get violent. Too much of this stuff happens I need a dash cam or something

Years ago I had an accident at a junction but there was no way I could prove the other car was speeding

If I had hit this kid on a sidewalk and there were no witnesses I could have been in hot water without proof he crossed on a red. You’re also not supposed to ride across a pedestrian crossing, but in practice kids on bikes on crosswalks are treated as pedestrians.

I have a Garmin dashcam. We had a cheap chinese one and noticed the footage got corrupted.
So just look for a decent one

Also good to have it installed into the car so it runs 24/7 and gets collisions while parked. You can also claim damage to or theft of it if it is installed by a professional as it is now considered part of my car.
