I think you are worrying before there is cause to worry, @Wave . Cross that bridge when you get to it. I know it’s easy to panic about results of tests. I am guilty of hyping up expectations as well, on occasion.
I don’t know what YOU should expect, but I went to a cardiologist for my chest pain months ago. They just asked me some questions and I ended up later doing ultrasound of my heart (echocardiogram) and stress test. Both turned out fine.
I’ve been to a cardiologist about 15 years ago. He did a stress ecg and heart sonar and told me everything is fine. 7 years ago I developed cardiac dysrythmia. It was diagnosed after a holter ecg. I told my gp that I think my arteries are narrowed or blocked because I get pains in my chest. She said it’s my muscles and gave me some injections. She said the only way to know if you have narrowed arteries is with an angiogram.
I just came back from the Cardiologist.
He was a super nice guy who put me at ease.
My EKG was a bit abnormal but my blood pressure was at a good reading.
He said because I have an atherosclerotic aorta and diabetes he wants to run some tests on me.
I have appointments for a Nuclear Stress Test, bloodwork and an echocardiogram
I’m more relaxed about these, better be safe than sorry later
I too had to see a cardiologist like @Bowens so I get the fear. In the end I was ok. Don’t worry until they tell you to worry. But I know that’s hard to do. Good luck!
