I try to remind myself it's normal, $24/hour no experience

working in a warehouse, which is $10 dollars an hour more than i made 10 years ago, but wages have risen and inflation is rearing its head, so i tell myself it’s just the new normal, and probably not that much money.

Are you looking for warehouse work?

Yeah. Inflation is out of control. And pay hasn’t really gone up much. The most I ever made was only $12/hr in a drs office. My Ssdi definitely reflects how little I earned.

Heads up, heavy lifting is generally classified as over 50 lbs.

On my disability pension I make $7.50/hour cash in hand calculated on a 40 hour week. I am not complaining. For doing nothing it’s a lot of money. But I would love to work if I could but I just can’t take any responsibility anymore. Taking the needle is my job.

Gross it’s around $13,50 calculated by 40 hours a week. Gross is before deductions and net is after deductions.
$13,50 gross
$7,50 net
I just received my second energybill, it seems $50 are getting deducted every fortnight as well. I just moved places recently.

Apply and give it a try do what you can and dont leave until they fire you

You’d be likely to get about half that. Warehouse work is not skilled labor, certainly not worth $24/hr.

it is worth $24/hour, i don’t know what you mean? all the warehouses are paying $20/hr plus and nobody wants to work there. it’s more important than trimming bud since you think so much of yourself.

and how much do you think jared goff is worth? detroit lions starting qb? haha.

Good luck getting $24/hr. You’ll get laughed out of the interview. If you want to make that much in blue collar labor you need to learn how to weld or some other valuable skill. You will never get $24/hr, I guarantee it.
