Usually I do what I want, often going off half cocked. But today, our provider said, don’t go out, it’s too icy. And I thought, I’ve got to start up the car so the battery won’t go dead. And she asked if a dead battery was worse than a broken hip. So, anyway, I started to go out, took a careful look and decided she was right. It was slick ice all the way. So I didn’t start up the car and by tomorrow the battery might be dead again. I need to start thinking my hip health is more important than a dead battery. Especially since my provider’s husband can charge it up again. Listening should give my self esteem a boost. I need to think I’m worth a little bother.
