I thought it would have been different, chocolate and depression

I thought that chocolate would help when one is feeling depressed, but this study proves different.

Indulging in chocolate may help lift one’s mood, but a new study has found that people who eat the most chocolate have a greater likelihood of depression.

Maybe it’s because the feeling of “happiness” is short and you need more chocolate to get that feeling again. Maybe that’s why depressed people eat more?

You are probably right, I personally like chocolate and enjoy eating it, but I have not felt that chocolate causes depression, it just gives me a moment of happiness and enjoyment. Today is the Christmas time already in many stores here where I am and they have good Christmas chocolate collections people can buy. I went and bought some chocolate yesterday.

Perhaps because they get fat and then they hate themselves. :person_frowning:

Speaking from personal experience, being fat is depressing. I need less chocolate.

Dark chocolate is a good replacement… But if you eat it too much, you gonna have a dark poop.

Chips. Just don’t even bring them in the house. Then they call from the aisle and I just tell them out loud because I mean business. They’re not comming with me.
