I don’t think hackers are able to do that.
The toastiness depends on the placement of the toast, the timer settings, how warm the toaster is before you use it, etc. Maybe there’s a wire loose somewhere.

A toaster, like a tv is an inanimate object. Like a lamp. It can’t be hacked. I ruined a perfectly good tv because of that.

I have heard that they can hack modern HD TVs, even take pictures of you when you watch TV.

Some modern smart devices can be hacked, smartphones for example can be hacked, there are companies for example in Israel that specialize hacking into smart devices. I am glad I have an old Samsung phone.

This was a joke. My neigbor from england is really paranoid of hackers about hacking into his PC and other devices. Which sadly was funny as hell when he claimed that they hack into his ordinary photo-camera, so me and one another neighbor threw a joke about it. Don’t get paranoid of this.
