I think I've made a new friend who is

Actually a very old friend. I’d seen him at work and sometimes he’d come to the recovery centre. But, we really go back as far as about February or March 1998 when we took a course about mental illness together. Flash forward to this Tuesday and our facilitator mentioned that he’d really been lonely since the start of the pandemic and wanted to make new friends. She had already mentioned my name and today, he went walking with us after lunch. To make a long story short, we exchanged phone numbers at the end of the walk. I’m pretty sure he’s Presbyterian if I remember correctly, even though I’m agnostic. But, that’s not a big deal as we’ve gotten along well in the past.
