Fillings didn’t hurt me when I had some done
Might take that back after next week as I have a tooth being fixed that broke due to decay!

I think it only hurts if they expose the nerve
Did not have anaesthetic for my last filling but maybe because it was minor

If they give you an anesthetic injection, it won’t hurt at all, regardless of the size of the cavity. However, if they reach the nerve, they will have to remove it and it costs extra. The injection itself only feels like a mosquito bite. Is it your first ever trip to the dentist?

The drilling noise will probably feel uncomfortable and slightly increase your fear. It takes some getting used to. If the cavity is small, they will only need 30 seconds tops to clean it.

Full treatment of cavity is root canal treatment. Other wise its filling goes out after some years. And RCT is costly and it takes time of 15 days.
