(Sorry, another rant kind of) I think my husband is expecting too much of me…
He wants me to take on managing/paying bills… on top of taking care of the baby, cleaning and cooking🙄

Your husband sounds like a real shithead.
But yes, I typically only have rent and a couple bills to worry about.
What I typically do is pay my electric bill the minute I get my ssdi so I don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the month.
The other bill is taken out automatically.

Yeah… like maybe when baby human is older it would be fine… but kind of a lot to take on right now (for me at least)

I pay all the bills on my check…I make out a monthly list of all the bills and then subtract them from the check…what’s left is what we have for food, gas for the vehicle, and meds.

I write a couple checks a month and the rest of my bills are on auto pay and get deducted directly out of my online checking account at the same time each month.

Maybe you can set up auto pay for your bills

Yeah @Human, makes things a lot easier. Setting them up initially is not difficult.
And banking online makes managing money a lot easier too.

I enjoy making a budget and paying bills etc.
I manage it pretty well.
If I ever live with my boyfriend I would have to be in charge of paying bills because he doesn’t pay his bills.
Or get centrelink to pay directly.

Anything on the phone or in person - my spouse does.
