Couples therapist today.

I wanted to get answers from a professional.

She said she frequently was alarmed by my exes behavior but me and my ex would rationalize it really well so my therapist didn’t act. She regrets that.

She also said she never saw any abuse from me, but that my ex would emotionally corner me and I’d get defensive, which is natural.

I feel a huge weight lifted off of me because I trust her perspective and I know she wouldn’t just say things to make me feel better like my friends might.

It’s nice to know I’m not crazy.


I think this was a really good instinct. I’m glad you got honest, informed feedback. Reading through what you’ve been through with you ex had me rooting for you, felt relatable. Glad you’re feeling better.
