The young kids would squat down against the wall in the hallway
And the older kids would hover over pressed against each young kid
They told us it was a tornado drill
Nope
It was for bomb threats
And nowadays, kids even have active shooter drills. They just tell the youngest kids it’s a “shelter in place” drill. The world is a dark place, sometimes.

Yeah some school shootings seem fishy
But I’m a big conspiracy nut
We aren’t going to talk about that here. No sense in taking a terrible tragedy and twisting it into a dark scheme. Some people really just do terrible things.
We used to open our books and put them over our heads in the tornado drills 
To be fair, we do have our fair share of tornadoes here!
My school had bomb shelters, but we just used them for storage, mainly. I had my saxophone lessons in one of them.
