I regret getting my Achilles tonsils repair with bone spur removal, all because of this infection… I hate all of this
I would feel the same way. You’re doing everything you can to fight this infection. Hang in there.
I’m trying to @HollyHobbie … I’m frustrated, my foot hurts, my arm hurts, I can’t drive, I’m having trouble walking, I have to be home at 3pm… It’s really hard
Yes, that would be.
feel better soon
Thanks @anon29983254 15
@HollyHobbie I was able to nap today
You have every right to feel that way. I’m so sorry you’re going through this
Thank goodness. You need to sleep.
What are Achilles tonsils?
Thanks @LilyoftheValley
@HollyHobbie I know…
@PinCushion from what my surgeon said it is where the tendon in the back on my foot (the heel) gets inflamed and swells until it’s being squished by the joint causing pain (I also had a bone spur that got wrapped into that mess)
@PinCushion @HollyHobbie @LilyoftheValley @anon29983254 if I get the same on the left foot I’m not getting the surgery
Feel better soon @Twialine
Thanks @Wave
I appreciate everything, everyone
Get well soon @Twialine
So sorry you are feeling so rough. I’m glad you got some rest today and took a nap!! You need that definitely to heal!
@anon90992146 thank you, one of my mental health team that sees me weekly said my color is coming back… This infection, PICC line, IV antibiotics, and everything else has been really rough… I’m not as depressed as I was before but I’m still not feeling good
Oh my! That all really sounds so awful!! I am so sorry. Wow!! I had no idea. That’s terrible. It is good that your color is coming back though. That’s good news. Plus if the depression is less, that’s positive too. I hope things only continue to improve for you!!
@anon90992146 I have 5 more weeks of IV antibiotics daily… I have stafe infection (stafe is deadly if left alone) we do at home IV antibiotics everyday, my husband does it, I also get a nurse coming by weekly and blood draw every two weeks
Oh my goodness! That’s a lot to deal with. That must be so stressful. I know I would be stressed. I hope you are coping with all of that ok or at least as good as can be expected. Sending hugs.
@anon90992146 I am stressed but I’m lucky, my husband pulls the antibiotics out of the fridge 2 hours before injection, he reminda me when it’s time, he injects them through my PICC line, he’s also keeps the line clean and helping keep it covered (putting the tube sock over it again to keep from the line pulling and hurting when not in use, yes the nurse said use a cut up sock)
