Just need a 2 year degree and I need to be able to drive again. I guess I am on a 5 year plan to do this. I’m not sure if they accept community college associates degrees. I’m assuming they do.
I want to work at the Mental Facility I stayed in. I was there for about a month each time twice. Last time I was there this guy told me I could work there if I had 2 year degree. It’s a state facility. It’s not very nice. It used to be an old Army base 50 years ago.
Really all I’d do is monitor people when they are outside so they don’t try to escape or hurt each other. Unlock bathrooms. Sit at a desk and just be a presence so the patients don’t feel like they can do whatever they want. I will probably take them on walks around the facility. I’ve heard of people escaping so I’d be nervous about it.
Probably not the best people in the world. A lot of people from prison. Lot’s of drug addicts and people first starting on meds. Or people who refuse to take their meds.
I think it’s what I’m meant to do. I think I’ve brought this up here before months ago and can’t remember exactly what my post was.
I used to think I wanted to do something similar. But it was just a phase I was going through. It was just a vague dream. There’s no way I’d be able to work in a mental health facility in reality.
