Might or might not make it all the way off the meds. I haven’t. But I’ve been meditating, exercising and staying off coffee for several years… and I take a fractional dose of Seroquel quetiapine compared to what I used to take. And experience fractional sfx.
Please don’t try homeopathics. They are a scam.
I hope you can find something that doesn’t affect your health so badly.
I also have a fear of this happening to me.
Maybe new meds will come out in the next few years that you can tolerate better.
I am not into homeopathy - I really just take a multi vitamin /vitamin D and prescribed EPA fish oil on top of my meds.
I do realize that I need medication, I think that I am going to talk to her about being on a new cocktail of meds at even lower doses - I do not tolerate psych meds at higher doses.
The new med/AP I am waiting on , is Brexpiprazole, the new and improved Abilify.
It too is a partial dopamine Agonist but with significantly less anxiety and activation than Abilify - I want to give it a try.
I am also going to talk to her about maybe going on a typical antipsychotic at lower doses - they are supposed to be more diabetes friendlier than the newer AP’s.
I have been taking psych meds since I was a kid - I am getting tired of being a Guinea Pig - I cannot wait for some of the newer APs to be coming out, particularly the CBD based one by GW Pharmaceuticals
Also, another possible CBD drug, if GW pharmaceuticals decide they don’t think it’s going to pan out for them.

Thanks for the info @everhopeful - very interesting
Hi Wave! I am 63 years old and I have been on anti-psychotics since I was 20 years old. I am in the same dilemma that that you are. I have tried some alternative meds in the past which failed utterly. I have screamed at my caregivers for years and they tell me just what yours are telling you; stay on the meds.
I am on 10 mg of Saphris a day. It seems to be better. I wish you the best of luck Wave.
Why thank you @Mondello - glad that you are doing better
**I wish I had an answer for you.
You speak a lot about anxiety. What if you were treated just for that and the lows you have with an antidepressant??
**
Thanks for the suggestion @bridgecomet but I can’t take antidepressants, they make me manic.
It was strongly suggested by more than one pdoc that I remain on an antipsychotic because I am prone towards psychosis
Your doc will have to think of something-I`m glad you can talk to her.
Try a ■■■■ ton of cannabidiol it’s a hippie alternative derived from cannabis yet empirically supported quite well like one of my friends he’s empirically validated to be a genius he does research in marine biology but he so hippie like weed and LSD and long wild hair but he’s at ducking Duke. Validated, empirically supported hippie things. Like my friend. He is a legitimate genius hippie.
Hey I’m a very bright crazy badass that’s pretty legit too.
