I think you can have moral standards. It’s just a question of not leading into each interaction with the expectation. That’s that you’re going to get certain responses

No expectations means not thinking something specific should happen. Maybe you can still expect some things not to happen i.e. amoral behavior

I guess if you don’t expect much in the first place, then you won’t be disappointed as much by a person. That seems to be the theory I gather.

The quote should read…

‘Peace of mind’ is having zero expectations of people.

Happiness is a bit of a stretch in my opinion.
