I ordered my textbooks

Yesterday, I received permission from social security to do my Masters in Mental Health Science. It’s an online program at The Open University part-time. It starts in January 2023 and will be 3 years.

This morning I ordered my textbooks. They were the cheapest on Amazon. I should receive them in 2 days.

I’m happy that social security agreed with this plan as they previously shot down my desire to study psychology stating that I’m not good enough with people.

But I guess all is well in the end.

Do you have any studies planned small or great?

I like the Uni as well. I did my Bachelors also with them and they are very accommodating for people with disabilities.

My sister did a phd with them now tutors for them. Part of the tutoring deal is she gets to do open university degrees free of charge! She will end up with loads of degrees lol.

Our family is very proud of her

That’s a nice perk! Especially since The Open University isn’t that cheap (for Belgian standards)

That’s awesome @Jonathan2 :+1:

Is the program you’ll be doing more science-based or more social/policy-based? Maybe both?

Good stuff, and congrats! :dizzy:

It’s a combination of (neuro)science and psychology. It’s got both angles and that is one of the things I liked about the program.

The program is about the psychological and biological underpinnings of mental health.
