I’m on disability and rent from my sister. My room is a disaster, I rarely go out, shower and sometimes it feels like there is a force-field preventing me from cleaning or touching laundry. Just being able to eat is difficult. The thing is I have a very demanding family. They don’t understand my barriers. I need a medication recommendation for controlling negative symptoms from someone with firsthand experience so I can consult with my physician. I am on Haldol, Wellbutrin, Klonopin, remeron.

Pretty big cocktail. Depression is something you need to guard against. It’ll feed into your negative symptoms.
First things first. If your depressed then might pay to ask for alternatives.
If that is all squared away. My biggest thing is positive enforcement. If I’m struggling I do exercise. That makes you feel better and you move forward from there.
It’s not easy and your on some heavy meds. You can’t be expected to be a regular joe on haldol. Your family needs to know that.

Hi. Wellbutrin is a good drug, but when I was on it, it never increased my motivation per se. Haldol definitely won’t touch neg symptoms. Sorry, but I think motivation just happens when it does. And when it does, you have to strike while the iron is hot.
My whole house is a disaster, but the reason for it may go beyond my DX.

Yes. I tried it, and it didn’t help. I’ve thought about trying the organic sarcosine, but I can’t afford it. If I ever can afford it I might try it.
