I need help (story)

So I on risperidone depot for 6 years and escitalopram and did pretty well on it: was able to maintain a job, had much less anxiety, was able to study at university, have friends, feel emotions.

2 years ago I relapsed on risperidone and escitalopram combo and spent 2 months at a ward, was put on haloperidol depot + quetiapine + depakote + artane.
Artane was useless and causing confusion and other nasty side effects that did not treat me.
I stopped quetiapine a month after the ward, because It was top sedating and was sleeping 15hrs a day and it made my life pure hell
Sticked with haloperidol, but it is weirdly sedating that I lost control over my emotions, has bad interaction with haloperidol and other antidepressants dont help

Haloperidol seems effective, but not really for me, Ive had had paranoia during my first day at a new job and wasnt able to hold another job longer than a month.
Recently i have been dealing with a lot of anxiety (probably caused by haloperidol) and developing panoc attacks, I cant tolerate caffeine anymore, I have unrestful sleep.

I also been hopping around many antidepressants, but thr culprit here i think is haloperidol

Tomorrow I have a psychiatrist appointment and will ask to return to riperidone and escitalopram combo.

I am anxious while writing this, might tale xanax

Hi there
Did you try Risperdal Consta, depot

I was on xeplion 75mg (paliperidone, which is basically risperidone)

I can tolerate paliperidone but not risperidone. Not sure why. If your dr keeps you on haloperidol ask for benztropine. It helps with side effects from haloperidol. I take 2mg of benztropine at night and 1 mg in the morning. It helps a lot

Have you tried Abilify? It is by far the best medication I tried.

Abilify just induces anxiety and binge eating for me, it was also difficult to sleep on it, tried for few days

I see. I am on Haldol/Abilify with Abilify having no side effects.
