I miss hypomania

Anyone else miss hypomania?

I don’t miss full-blown mania because it always goes too far and feels bad, but hypomania I miss.

My Lamictal works well to keep it at bay. I know that’s supposed to be a good thing.

I love being manic. It’s yet another reason why I won’t go on meds. I feel normal when I’m manic.

Yes! I feel normal when I’m hypomanic! It’s the bar that I hold other moods too.

Yes absolutely. Hypomania 100% beats the depression that follows.

It’s funny because Lamictal has always made me a bit hypomanic.
I’m looking forward to some hypomania but I became hypomanic on Lamictal when I wasn’t taking Depakote.

Now I’m back on Depakote so I don’t know if Lamictal will make me hypomanic so much.

I like a slightly elevated mood but not too restless, I don’t like it when I get to the point of starting to pace and crap. So maybe just a bit of hypo-mania. But it’s not worth it if you gotta have the depression that comes with it.

Yeah Hypomania is pretty cool, I just hate the tired feeling after it.

If you used to get hypomania then serotonin enhancers like SSRI, 5-HTP or even others like myoinositol, zinc, curcumin etc can induce hypomania. Serotonin plays some role in hypomania if have mood disorders like bipolar. This is why bipolar people are not given antidepressants instead mood stabilizers.

I get hypomania. Not as often as I’d like. I can get stuff done then.

I hate any kind of mania, hypo or otherwise, because when I’m like that, I can’t sleep and then I’m miserable because of lack of sleep. And I only rarely get depressed. Euthymia is my favorite mood state.

Really? When I’m hypomanic I can go days without sleep and barely feel different. Until I start hallucinating lol. But usually I just get 4 hrs of sleep and feel completely fine

Not me. If I don’t get at least 9.5 hours of sleep every single night, I simply cannot function. I absolutely drag through the day and have no energy to get anything done. I get mood and psychotic symptoms. It’s terrible believe me. @MoonGarden .

Oh I’m that way when I’m not hypomanic. I have to get about the same as you or I feel like crap.
