I’m planning on quitting caffeine, but not sure. Anyone quit caffeine?

I had started drinking coffee, didn’t have any yesterday and today. Worst headache. I definitely think 80mg is far too much for me but I can’t help drinking the whole thing since it tastes so good. I also have yerba mate but I have no idea about the caffeine content. I’m thinking that I might try and get 100 or 50mg pill and cut them into quarters since it will be eaiser to control my dosage that way.

Quiting is easy
I’ve done it a thousand times

Good luck with quitting caffeine. It’s probably worth it. I got too much anxiety to go through extra anxiety because of withdrawals. But I’m keeping it one cup a day so not too bad.

I can’t stand the taste of Yerba mate. Yerba mate has less caffeine than coffee but more than tea.

Yes. It helped my anxiety and stability. Then I restarted. Then I quit. Then I restarted. I plan on withdrawing to one cup now. I love coffee. I love the social aspect of coffee (“hey, let’s have a cup of coffee in the cafe this morning!”). But one cup will be better than five.

Yeah yerba mate doesn’t have great taste. Green tea lowers testosterone, though and I find coffee has too much caffeine. Black tea too little

I haven’t had caffeine in years. It destabilizes me, I don’t know if it’s because it increases dopamine.
