What does love mean.
I’m not trying to act unloved like I never experienced it. I’m just talking about a definition.
Does anyone have a personal definition.
Mine is just to like someone. Enjoy their presence for who they seem to be. Or for who they are.

In Spanish you say “te quierro” to your kids but “te amo” to your spouse. It specifies the type of love. Just like eskimos have different names for ice.

The problem, which you are suggesting, is that we use the word love when we don’t really mean it. One question is do we have any love, and if so, do we know when we have it. I am most fortunate to have strong love by my mother. Love is a feeling and is also a readiness to forgive. Love is being on your side.
I believe there is also love in the religious way. But we can’t get into that on this website.
There can also be very strong love of a pet.

Yea I know what u mean about pets. I was prepared to give that to a dog but I’m not sure if i will buy a dog yet.
