Goodness. That’s a long commute. I used to do that for university, 70 minutes. I actually enjoyed it though, I’d get lost in my music :notes:

I took the train to work, for a while, when I was still working. It was a 25 minute drive by car, but a 1 hour trip by train. I hated waiting in the freezing cold and felt uncomfortable around so many people, with each train car filled to max capacity.

I also used to take the train and then several busses to get to doctor appointments, from my job location. So, more than 1 hour train ride, plus 30 to 45 minutes of bus rides.

It was terrible, but I couldn’t drive at the time (health issues), so I had no choice really.

Public transit is great for saving money, reducing pollution, and giving disabled people (who can’t drive themselves) a good alternative. But I feel like public transit in the USA needs some upgrades. It’s so stressful to use public transit, because destinations are so far apart, here.

My daily commute is rough. I have to be careful not to trip over the cat while going up or down the stairs. She gets excited when I’m going up or down and runs past or through my legs. Don’t want to step on a kitty or spill my tea.

Oh, and I’m never using public transit again, ever, for any reason.

Also great for getting assaulted, mugged, stabbed, groped, etc. Shot, too. The last time I rode public transit I had a drunk puke all over me and then I got to work and was laid off by my employer.

@#$% that crap.

That’s the major city I live next to, by the way. People are afraid to use the transit system and avoid it whenever they can.
