But everything is covered in fur. And she is getting matted spots on her back. Can you bring a cat to a groomer?

A friend of mine had a long haired cat that would get matted hair periodically. She would bring it in to the veterinarian and they would shave the cat’s matted areas. The cat looked kinda funny because the hair was super short on its body after the shave but it had its regular long hair on its head, legs, and tail.

Lol. I don’t understand why she doesn’t groom herself. She’s a thin cat and should be able to do it. I’ll call the vet tomorrow. Thanks
