I like fabrics!

sometimes i wish instead of growing corn and soy in these fields, the farmers would grow hemp and produce fabrics. clothes are so much better now than when i was growing up. i used to fantasize about producing all weather outdoorsy fabrics that would be lightweight and not too hot and keep you dry. i thought that this would be my contribution to people haha. @Montezuma and @Aziz talking about cotton on the say anything thread, made me remember this episode in my life haha.

weird thread i know, but i like fabrics!

Bamboo is sustainable and good.

I use bamboo undies from a shop called body peace.

I can’t afford their clothes but can afford their undies but they are expensive undies.

Bamboo doesn’t need pesticides, grows quickly and is good for environment they say.

Hemp is supposed to be good too.

They have vegan leather now too like pineapple etc

I had a pair of shoes I think were made of apple leather.
They cost around $100.
Expensive but cruelty free.

They make vegan leather out of cactus too.

very interesting i knew about bamboo, thought about growing some ornamental bamboo, but it spreads quickly and is hard to contain i read. fabrics are cool, i can’t remember the site i used to visit, but it listed all the different plants used for fabrics, and medicines, and food, stuff like that. it was too much info though. it was something like plants for a future or something.

very interesting @SacredNeigh7
