To open the shed door to put the rubbish in it you have to key in a 4 number code. I did it right both times I tried , pulled down the handle and nothing happened. I couldn’t be beeped to take the rubbish back to my flat so left it outside the shed door.

In America people just throw their trash out the car window as they drive.
The thing is the door is temperamental i.e. open sometimes but not other times .

Could you temporarily leave it in the hall of your flat until it’s working again?
I could ,but didn’t fancy carting it back upstairs again. It’s gone dark now so I won’t be going outside.
