I know I'm deluded, does that make me sane?

I’m trying to work this one out. If I were completely deluded I wouldn’t be able to see that I was deluded. I must have some sanity if I can recognise it?

Nobody is a 100% insane or a 100% mentally ill. There’s always at least a little sanity lurking in everybody. It’s on a spectrum. Even Hitler was probably nice to his cat or something.

Maybe you should read “Catch-22” by Joseph Heller.

As someone who has been able to spot her own delusions when they’re happening, I can tell you that it didn’t make me sane. Just miserable and confused.

It just means you have some Insight. When I first had psychosis I had no insight. I thought everyone else was out of the loop

I feel miserable and confused about it too.
